Samsung Galaxy S4 EYE-TRACKING SCROLL TECHNOLOGY

Samsung Galaxy S4 EYE-TRACKING SCROLL TECHNOLOGY

All that tedious using your finger to scroll could be a thing of the past if rumours about the new Galaxy S4's eye-tracking scroll technology are anything to go by.
An anonymous source told the New York Times that the new smartphone will use its front-facing camera to track the position of users' eyes, and so scroll through web pages without you having to leave fingerprints on the screen.
The story may sound far-fetched, but there is some evidence to back up the theory; in January Samsung filed a patent for a technology called Eye Scroll, which uses a smartphone or tablet's front-facing camera to scroll web pages automatically depending on the user's eye position.
Eye-tracking technology is also nothing new, as it's used in certain glasses-free 3D displays, but this will be the first time we've seen it applied to scrolling on a smartphone.
